Hopefully Jesus is paying attention...

Last night I asked a friend a question and it has been plaguing me ever since. So... I figured I would post it here and let everyone weigh in on it.
Why live the life,  walk the road, set the example and invest so much in other people if all they do is say "well thats just insert name here. They're like super human or something."?
If noone else takes convictions and callings seriously I hope it adds up some time or another. It's not an eternal game of bingo. Jesus taught that the kingdom of heaven is now. Why is everyone else waiting?

First of all, flames.

Second of all, here's my theory than may or may not apply to people or any group of people. Of course most people [I'd think] take the convictions and callings of Jesus seriously. It's just that, sometimes...or a lot of times...people (maybe just me this time) have trouble trusting in the promises of Jesus. Which maybe comes from not having experienced the love of Christ to the fullest. Well how could someone NOT accept/experience the love of our merciful God? I think some of us don't even love ourselves enough to believe that it's possible to experience or even begin to understand how someone so grand could love us so much (which would lead to an outpouring in our lives of living the life, walking the road, setting examples, investing in others, and all of that)

So really, it's all a circle because the insert names have the opportunity as well as the responsibility to bring the kingdom of heaven to those who've never heard of Christ AND to those who don't fully know the love of Christ...though they might know all the answers/verses/etc. So really, the non-insert names (or the ones who are "waiting") need the insert names in this relational experience that is our faith walk to show us the love of Christ so we are inspired to invest in our own relationship with Christ and then produce an outpouring of our own, and thus becoming insert names.

all of this is unlikely to make sense, but I'd thought I'd try to answer your question even though the most basic of answers is probably that, well, people are just LAZY.

I agree 100 percent (only 'cause it isn't possible to agree more than that). My hang up is the people, good people, people who do know and have experienced the living Christ who make lesser or even poor decesions and then say "oh Lindsey wouldn't do this but she is like super good. I could never be like her." Grrrrrr. Drives me freekin' nuts!
It's almost as bad as people doing dumb stuff just because they are about to graduate and feel like they "should" do "something". That's not lazy that is just actively selling not only yourself but your Creator short. Don't get me started...

your picture is taunting me. it says "whatcha gunna say now? huh? HUH?"

well i got nothin besides that people are just dumb sometimes. and i figure this has been happening for quite sometime considering the urgings of paul in romans 6 and on...so its dumb that we continue to be dumb even when the word of god clearly provides consolation/advice/a freekin SAVIOR for our dumbness.

stupid serpent. ruined our garden.
